Our Little Girl

Okay, well, I had my follow-up appt. with the doctor today after my hospital stay. Things are looking pretty good. I mean, my kidneys still aren't functioning right, but nothing too alarming yet (unless he calls in the next couple of days when my tests come back from the lab). Everything else is good, so they're not sure what the cause is yet. I also had an ultrasound. Turns out that she's about 5lbs. 10oz. already! Big shocker.....I knew it. He actually said that that's not super huge and she's probably slowing down a little because of the kidney problem. Anyway, we finally got a 4-D shot of our little princess. We were shocked. She looks so much like Hunter, it's unbelievable!! If you cover up certain features, you can see Tanner too, but for the most part she's all Hunter (which pleases him like you wouldn't believe). So now, instead of saying, "Mom, Haylee's (that's what we're naming her, P.S.) going to be so pretty!" (which he says about every 5 minutes), he says, "Mom, Haylee's going to be so pretty like Hunter!" It's really cute. He's so excited for her to be here. It's adorable. He always kisses my stomach and when she kicks he always says, "Haylee! What's the matter in there?!" He loves her already. Anyway, they also checked me because I've been contracting so much. I'm actually 50% effaced already (sorry to be graphic), but haven't started to dilate yet, which is good. SO......the doctor said he'd induce me between 36 and 37 weeks. He didn't give me an official date, but that's two weeks from now. So, as long as my kidneys don't head too far south before then, I'll be having her around the 10th, just under a month early. I can hardly wait. I've long since passed uncomfortable and am skirting on the edge of miserable as far as pain goes, so I'm ready. And I feel better about her only being between 3 and 4 weeks early, especially since she's got enough wieght on her and I've had the steroid shots. Anyway, so that's all of my exciting news for the day!! Oh, and P.S., you wouldn't believe the cool stuff they can do with ultrasounds now. She had her hand over face and the cord and other stuff were partially in the way on the 4-D shot too. The tech froze the screen and actually cut and removed the stuff that was blocking her face from the picture! I can't believe that's even possible, but she did it. It was pretty cool. Anyway, the top picture is after the "cutting" and the bottom one is before. Her face is a tiny bit smashed where the stuff was covering it, but not bad. I'm thoroughly impressed. Anyway, here she is:
Well, I should know something more official next Tuesday! Yay!!

I'm glad things are better, she looks so precious. I started to cry when I saw the picture of her, I love the picture. They always look so peaceful and just content to stay there forever. She looks like a princess already.

I don't know if I just never pay attention, but that is the 1st time I remember seeing such a detailed picture of an unborn baby. That is really neat. If she looks anything like Hunter, she will be adorable. Know that we're thinking about ya and take care of yourself. Love ya

This sounds bad, but those 4-D ultrasounds always creeped me out! But yours is so perfectly sweet and beautiful. She does look like Hunter! I even did a side-by-side comparison (his picture on the side of your blog was right next to her's when I scrolled down.) I'm so excited for you!
YIPEE for Haylee coming early... :)

Oh my gosh, that is the most amazing ultrasound picture! So clear!! I'm glad that things are going alright, despite the kidney malfunctioning that's going on! I sent you a text message - did you get it?

She soes look like Hunter but she has Tanner's high forhead. She sure is frowning. Must have been everything pushed in her face.
Love you all. Take care of yourself.

Holy cow that is so crazy that you are going to be having her so soon!! I am excited for you. I am sorry that this has been such a hard pregnancy. I can't believe how cool that ultrasound is.

Oh, she looks beautiful! Hunter is such a doll!! She is going to have such great protectors. I'm totally jealous that you got a 4-D ultrasound & a video! I got neither of those things! I'm convinced that Capital is just obnoxious!! We can't wait to meet Haylee!! Kennady at 34 weeks was 4 lbs 11 oz, so 5 lbs 10 oz isn't too bad =)

I'd like to state, for the record, that I'm as concerned about your and Haylee's health as anyone. HOWEVER, if you could maybe shoot for February 4th, that would just be awesome. Thanks.
