HUNTER:
Height: 38 inches
Weight: 31 pounds
Weight: 31 pounds
TANNER:
Height: 34 1/2 inches
Weight: 25 1/2 pounds
Does anyone else find their closeness in height and weight at all disturbing? I guess that explains why Tanner is beginning to pound Hunter mercilessly (not that the payback isn't deserved, but still......) Anyway, I can't remember the percentiles, but they were all pretty average (around 50 percent) except Tanner's height and Hunter's weight. Tanner's going to be pretty tall apparently (and here I thought his stalkiness was his defining feature.....ha ha ha) and Hunter's pretty low in the weight category (but if anyone saw Kyle as a child, that would make perfect sense).
Everything else looked good. I was sure the doctor would ask about the bruise on Tanner's head (because they always do with that "I'm going to call CPS if you don't have a good explanation for this" look in their eye), but since he was doing his trademarked football stance, run, and tackle while I was holding Hunter for something else, I'm pretty sure the explanation for any and all injuries became overwhelmingly self-explanatory. The doctor started quzzing Hunter about what he liked to eat (which I'm positive was another secret check to see whether my children should be removed from my home) and after his "licorice" and "donuts" answers she just gave up. Their shots were the greatest adventure of all. We did Hunter's first because otherwise they never would've gotten to do them if he'd have known what was coming. He bawled, of course.....until she told him he could have a sucker and a sticker. The water works instantly stopped, imagine that. He then informed her that he needed two suckers and two stickers because she gave him two shots. I was mortified by my weasel of a child, but she thought it was funny and was very obliging. He then proceeded to explain to her that he could only have the red ones because he was allergic to yellow 5. He was absolutely right, but this poor nurse seemed unbelievably amused by my child that speaks as if he's eight, not three. She was then in for the shock of her life while attempting to give "little" Tanner four shots. I was holding his arms, per her request, and she said she'd hold his legs while doing his shots. I'm pretty sure he nearly kicked her across the room. She was only through one shot and already was mumbling, "Gosh, he's strong!" (Ummm, yeah, I know). She couldn't really contain him very well. His fourth shot actually left quite the bruise because he was fighting so hard. She was stunned.....especially when the crying instantly stopped upon completion of number four and he began to glare at her. Then, he just reached his hand out towards the suckers, as if to imply that she owed him. I tried not to laugh, but I couldn't help myself. Oh, welcome to a day in the life at the Huwe house.
Anyway, I sure love my boys! Time seems to fly too fast and they both seem to be way too big. I always tell Hunter to stop getting big so he can be my baby forever. He just laughs and informs me that he's going to be way bigger than me. That's probably true, but I don't even want to imagine that.

Sounds like quite the adventure. I'd say Hunter isn't a weasel...he's a smart boy! Very logical!
I'm not surprised by the height difference especially considering Hunter looks like you and Tanner looks like Kyle.
Smart little kids! Boys are so fun! I think our boys would get along well (little stinkers!).
Hunter sounds more and more like his Uncle Matt. And I can just see you there trying to hold Tanner when he doesn't want to do it. Tough kid.
How cute are they, they seem to have the cutest personalities. Smart little guys too.
Oh great. I go in for Austin's 18 month check up in two weeks. He's about the same size as Tanner I think. Is that what I have to look forward to? Kicking and such? Thanks alot! Hee hee.
Ahh, I LOVE reading your blog. Makes me feel better about my own crazy boy! ha ha ha hee hee ho huh hmmmm... Love your guts ;)
p.s. Kaden and Tanner are the same size and weight. They should definitely wrestle. WHEN are you going to have that baby girl and come see me???
I cannot believe how light your kids are...JEALOUS! lol! McKay was 37 pounds at 2 and also again at 3...but Tanner is definately tall! They are both so cute, and I cannot believe they will have a sister soon...man the time has flown, for me anyway, I'm not the pregnant one! :)
Guess what, Benjamin weighs 29 lbs and he is only 21 months.I don't know his height. Your boys are so cute I kind of hope that i'm having a boy so that they can be buddies. But a girl would be so nice too.
I laughed out loud when I read about the shots! Your boys are so smart! ha ha You're in for some fun years! ha ha
I was doing percentiles for Kennady (because the doctor never gives them to me either!) so I did them for the boys for you
Hunter: 44% weight, 54% height
Tanner: 43% weight, 94% height
If you ever want to check them, here's the website:

You can use this one until they are 3, so with Hunter you have to use a different one!
Boy, the boys are sure growing up fast!! I can't believe Tanner is practically the size of Hunter!! I laughed when I read about the tackle... that is SO Tanner =)
