I'll admit it. We're die hard Moses Lake fans. We're westsiders (I know, I know, no throwing tomatoes) so we always vacationed over here as kids. And there was a day when we'd catch blue gill the circumference of a 5-gallon bucket (and I'm not even exaggerating). So, we gave it a whirl. And I must say, we HAVE to be considered die hard fans because with zero bites and zero fish, our devotion didn't even sway.:)

Hunter only hooked his Daddy's pant leg one time with his new pole. And he may have actually caught a fish if he didn't think reeling his line in was so exciting. I tried to teach Tanner, but the shiny reel only induced excitement for a short time. He was much more content chewing on one of Grandpa's extra bobbers.

My Mom and I even tried to teach Kennady to fish, but she just wasn't paying that much attention. She could've caught a fish that weighed more than she does, but she apparently had no interest in being a record setter. At least she's learned girl wisdom and looked cute while she was sitting there.

In the end, we took Hunter and Katie to Columbia Park Pond in hopes that someone would catch a fish and restore our faith. Since Hunter's patience still hadn't developed, Katie did the honors. We can't even say she knew she had a fish on (those Department of Fish & Wildlife raised fish aren't real fighters......gee, thanks Kyle:).....heh heh), but she ended up with a trout anyway. Hunter thought that was pretty cool and didn't even care that it wasn't him who caught it, so.....success!

My Dad even tried his hand in the Columbia, but NO!! This was not our lucky weekend. But, we had fun hanging out together anyway. I love it when my family comes to visit!

Boy, Moses Lake isn't what it used to be. Maybe later on. Did you throw that little trout back so it wouldn't be by itself? I don't think that it would feed 9 of you. Cute pictures of the boys fishing. Also cute pictures of you all holding Kennady. I guess I have to say you are all cute. :)
Your family is awesome! I'm so glad I had the chance to meet them. Hard to believe that was 4 years ago...yikes!!
