A Little Pregnancy Update

Well, things have been a little crazy lately. I've just been placed on modified bed rest, so that gives me all kinds of time to type about it.:) Long story short, my blood pressure is going up. They ran some tests to make sure my kidneys were functioning, which thankfully they are. So, no early delivery yet, instead I'm on bed rest. I could be placed on full bed rest next week when I go in for my appt. if my blood pressure is still on the rise. I hope not. I can't visualize that with two toddlers running around the house. This "part-time" bed rest is hard enough. I'll also be getting another ultrasound next Tuesday. I'm still measuring big and I'm having a lot of pain. So, we'll see what they say. At my last ultrasound they already said I'd get induced at the end of February because she's so big, so I'm assuming that'll still be the case. Anyway, just thought I'd update everyone. So, if people start to think that I'm like a recluse, it's because I am.

Bed rest is such a nice thing =) I loved it because it meant that Joey had to do everything =) It just made me smile =) Hope everything works out wonderfully. High blood pressure is a scary thing. Is this the first time you've had high blood pressure while being pregnant?

Maybe if you have to go on full bed rest you could just use those child leashes, I'm sure you could attach them to your bed somehow...oooh...or you could go for the cage option like on "Please Don't Eat the Daisies"...just think about it, that's all I'm saying...:o)JK! Anyways, I just love you and hope everything goes well at your appointment. Take it easy, k?
P.S. (Hunter's muffin story was so funny...I just miss you guys!)

You poor thing! All I can say is do whatever it takes to keep that baby inside you for as long as possible. We love Carter, but three months in the NICU is not fun for anyone. On the bright side, if you do deliver early, we were told that girls have significantly shorter stays in the NICU for some reason. I guess Kyle had better kick it up a notch and help out even more - if only he could just stay home all day. Stupid work. :)

I am so sorry! I would help if I could Benjamin loves playing with friends but I think you are a bit too far away. Good luck with everything.

well that is no fun, especially with two little ones! I wish I was closer so I could just bring them to my house and let them run with my two crazies. Hope the appointment goes well. Take it easy, that's easy for me to say right?:)

Let me come get your boys. How about tomorrow?? I get high blood pressure too. I've had to be bed rest twice, one of which I didn't have kids yet. WIth kids it's nearly impossible, but stay down as much as you can. You don't need that baby to come too early. So, I'm expecting you to let me come get your boys.

Gosh, I hope everything is going okay. I can't imagine how it works to be on bed rest with little ones. I think I would have to laugh if the doctors ever told me that...say what? Anyway, take care of yourself and that little girl!

Hi Bri! It was so fun to look at your blog and see your family. I miss seeing and spending time with family like we did when we were young. But, unfortunately, we all have so much time to kill with our own families and all. Keep in touch. P.S. I laughed hard at the video. So cute!

I didn't think you were due this soon-and if you aren't then stay off your feet and let your little ones run wild-oh man, I'm thinking of you-that has to be a bit crazy!

I have to agree with your comment that 'this family just seems to have cute babies', so in light of that fact, I can hardly wait to see your new little one. Keep us posted and let me know how you're doing. Hang in there! It's all worth it!
