So, I realize that this is like my 4th post in two days, but we have a real problem. For the past month or so, Hunter has been telling us that he wants tractors, art stuff, and a computer for Christmas (they make these little kid ones that teach them phonics and numbers and all that). Anyway, we thought our mission was accomplished.....at least until yesterday. I asked Hunter what he was going to ask Santa for yesterday and the conversation went like this.
Me: Hey Hunter, what are you going to tell Santa that you want for Christmas?
Hunter: Calls and a saw.
Me: Huh? What do you mean?
Hunter: He responds like I'm an idiot, by the way, "Hunting calls, Mom. Like for elk and stuff."
Me: Oh, sorry. And what do you mean a saw?
Hunter: Like a chainsaw. But Mommy, Kyle, and Tanner need one too.
Me: Ummm, why?
Hunter: Because I don't want anyone using mine to cut down any trees.
Me: Oh, well duh, okay......
So, can you say we're in real trouble unless his memory is real short (which it isn't, by the way)? Does this ever happen to anyone else? All I can say is, I'm not fixing this problem......I don't think.
P.S., Clearly my child gets none of this from me. I NEVER would've birthed a child who would ask for hunting calls for Christmas at age 3......or a chainsaw for that matter. This is all way too disturbing.

HAHA He's soooo cute! So funny boy :)
I smell the influence of Kyle...but I have no idea why...maybe it's his synthetic elk urine...
That is so cute! Whenever Kyla changes her mind on what she wanted I ask her if she still wants this and she says, "oh yeah that too". But she is younger and can be easily persuaded:) Good luck, hope he forgets:)
Has it occured to you that maybe Hunter is giving you Kyle's wish list? He had to get it from somewhere.
Don't you just love when the list changes and at the last minute. Very frustrating! I just tell them Santa didn't have room in his sleigh for EVERYTHING! Good Luck. I bet Kyle has been secrectly telling him some things. :) Gotta love that our men love hunting so much! Oh dear! And those sugar cookies look awesome! Very detailed! Looks like a lot of work! Hope your appointments go o.k. and that your kidneys decide to behave. That's a bit disturbing!
Hey if you had to cut down the endless tree limbs I've had to with a handsaw you'd want a chainsaw too!
Thank you, thank you so much for the visit and the cookies and candle. you don't know how much that means to me to have you think of us. It really made my day. I will be waiting for a call from you on your next appointment. The cookies were great I have had 2 already.
Oh. My. Gosh. Are you sure he's yours? ha ha, that's the funniest thing I've heard all day.
I did see a toy chainsaw in the mall today... no really, i did! It came with goggles too. But then again it did make an obnoxious sound. BUENA SUERTE!!
