Tanner's 2nd Birthday

My little guy turned two on Friday. How can that be? I swear, I didn't even think he was big until Haylee was born.....after which I'm pretty sure I could've broken a sweat carrying him 15 feet. Granted, the kid's a brut.:) I just didn't notice the severity of it before. ha ha

Anyway, we went out of town Friday night to go to the Walla Walla Balloon Festival (or whatever it's called), so we celebrated his Birthday earlier in the afternoon. I made him a baseball cake. I suppose it was a good choice, since all day he kept saying, "I like baseballs, Mom!" Well, good.....I hope so.....since we bought you a baseball, bat, and tee set for your Birthday. Although Hunter claimed that gift as coming from him, so whatever.:) We also got him this toy Dodge pickup with a four wheeler and a horse trailer. Hunter thinks this belongs to him and tries to beat Tanner up if he touches it. Our plan in buying this gift was to alleviate the current toy war. Didn't work. We got him some clothes too. Those were coming either way because I've never met a child who could destroy clothes as quickly as Tanner. It's unreal. Anyway, my Mom and Dad sent him a couple of outfits too (which were totally cute) and a firetruck. It's hilarious because we already have this exact firetruck. But it's Hunter's. They fight over it every day and Tanner loses.....Hunter gets beat up, but he still keeps the truck. Technically it's his. So, now Tanner has his own. He was more excited about this than anything. It also turns out that Hunter's is missing a few of the ladders. So, now he tries to trade Tanner for the new one. He's such a weasel. Tanner's catching on to this game though, so I guess we've just fueled the fire.:) My Grandma also sent him a cute little outfit too. So, he should be clothed for the next couple of months anyway.
Anyway, he spit all over his cake when he was blowing out the candles. Good thing I'd made cupcakes too. He's so cute and he just devoured his cake. So, did Hunter. Funny, since they'd previously claimed, "(they) weren't hungry." Yeah, sure.Well, Happy Birthday, Tanner!! We sure love you around here. You're a wonderful part of this family! And you definitely keep us laughing.....all the time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANNER!! Amazing job on the cake!!! You're so amazing! I need a cute idea for Brianne's 1st birthday next month, so if you think of anything, let me know!!

I wanted to tell you - we have this new store here called Bass Pro Shops - I'm sure you've heard of it, but if you haven't, it is definitely a reason for you guys to come up sometime because Kyle would love it there. It's all about fishing, hunting, etc. They even have the animal call things. The store is almost a little creepy though because it's taxidermy central! Animals and animal heads and antlers EVERYWHERE! Almost a little sick actually. We could drop Kyle off there and then go do some real shopping or something! ha ha

Neat cake. Good idea about the cupcakes. Got your Mom's decorating skills I see. Tanner looks so cute and so grown up already. You might as well try to get along with the war over toys. Those two will always be at it and guess what happens when Haylee starts taking their toys.
