So, we attended the Walla Walla Balloon Festival on Saturday morning.....at 6:30am.....with three kids. And yes, I'm pretty sure we're crazy.:) Actually, it was fun. Haylee was in her carrier sleeping (surrounded with blankets cause it was actually pretty cold at that hour) and the boys ran wild. They loved it. They already sport a pretty dramatic balloon obsession, so they got a kick out of all the hot air balloons. Anyway, we watched them all launch and fly for a little while. Later that afternoon we went up to the mountains (or I should probably say, Kyle's mountains.....he's obsessed) and drove around for several hours. We also went on a little hike for an hour or so. It was pretty fun. Although Kyle found two ticks in his clothes the next morning. Yikes. So, we've all been searched, but I swear I still itch.....it's psychological. Anyway, we stayed at Kyle's Uncle Tim and Aunt Marge's house in Waitsburg while we were there. We appreciate them letting us stay with them.....they're always so nice! Anyway, all in all.....fun weekend.

Oh yeah, and we saw a moose up in the mountains! It was crazy. We're pretty much convinced it was transplanted from Yellowstone or somewhere because the crazy thing practically walked right up to the car. It was only about 15 yards away and just kept looking at us, then would go back to eating. The boys thought that was pretty cool......okay, almost as much as Kyle.

Sounds like you had a great weekend. Not only did the boys eee the balloons but you got to see a moose. I'm surprised the boys didn't want to go for a ride in the balloons.
I never knew there was a Balloon Festival in Walla Walla-that is so fun! My sister is always talking about the one in New Mexico and I keep planning on going there for it someday, but if there is one in my back yard-even better!
Sounds like a fun adventure...I feel jealous! Oh, and the picture of you and Haylee is so cute.
