We Love You, Grandma Huwe

It's been a rough week. Kyle's Grandma took a fall while we were visiting her on Monday. She was doing what she loved, playing with her Great Grandsons. She hit her head really hard and it turned out had a subdural hematoma (bleeding on the brain). Unfortunately, she's been taking blood thinners for years due to a small stroke she'd had and they couldn't stop it fast enough. They transferred her from Walla Walla to the Tri-Cities, but it was too late. There was too much irreversible brain damage caused by the bleeding and she passed away late yesterday evening in Richland.

So, I just wanted to say a couple of things about our Grandma Huwe. I have two wonderful Grandmas myself, but considered Grandma Huwe a third. She was always kind and quick to smile. She loved her family and was a wonderful Great Grandma to our two boys. She always wanted to know what we were doing and was happy if we were enjoying our lives. Kyle was extremely close to her. She was supportive of him and interested in him and he needed that from her. Kyle comes from a non-LDS family and our religious choices have been a little tough to swallow. Well, not for Grandma Huwe. And if it was, we never would've known. She accepted me without question into her family and there are not words to express my appreciation for that. What a wonderful woman!

Hunter informed me this morning that, "Hunter miss Grandma Huwe." Well, you know what? Me too, Hunter. We are grateful for our time with her, the love we shared, and grateful that we were there to enjoy her last moments with her. Do we wish we could change the outcome of the past few days? Yes. But, we wouldn't change the time we had with her for anything. We love you, Grandma Huwe!

I'm sorry, hun. Mom told me that she'd fallen but I didn't realize it was so serious. I just want to let you know that I'm thinking about and praying for you guys.

Hey, we're so sorry for your loss (and everyone's loss, she sounds like an incredible woman). I have been thinking about you guys since mom told me about what had happened. You guys will continue to be in our prayers, we love you. Let us know if we can do anything for you. The fact that you miss her so much can only be a reflection of her goodness. I know that you guys know (even Hunter), but God will take care of her, without a doubt she's happy. Love ya

Sorry Breezy that I didn't know about it before today. I could have put her name in the Temple and added my prayers to everyone elses. As I said in my email I am praying for all the family as well as Kyle and you. Love you lots. I know that she was a wonderful person and that she acccepted you as a major prt of her life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. But you will all be with her again some day. Always remember that Familys can be fore ever.

I'm sorry to hear about Kyle's grandma. At least you can be comforted that she is in a better place. Even though, it's still tough.
