My first Niece is here! My little brother, Joey, and his wife, Sarah, had their first baby at 2:24 this morning. She's 5 1/2 weeks early, so it's been a little scary, but she's here and doing great. She weighed in at 4 lbs. 11 oz. and was 17 3/4 inches long. She's alert and breathing on her own (even though she has to spend about a week in the NICU). They named her Kennady Nichole. I opened this picture of her that my Mom was able to get when they were transporting her from Sarah's room to the NICU and instantly thought, "Ha, another Walker baby!" She looks just like Hunter. The similarities are almost unreal! I'll post a picture of her next to Hunter at the end and everyone will then know I'm not crazy!:) So, anyway, although weighing in over 5 lbs. lighter than my "little" Hunter, they look so similar. And I happily told Joe that although she's so small, she doesn't look like an alien baby at all.:)
Here's the happy parents after the delivery, waiting 3 1/2 hours to get to go see their baby again!
Anyway, congratulations Joey & Sarah! We're excited for you.....and excited that there's finally a baby girl in the Walker family!:)

Yay!! Congrats.. wow sooo Early but soo glad baby and mom are ok and good! Where they stay at hosp? PLs update me.. wink
Congrats on becoming an aunt for the very first time! That's pretty exciting! Wow, 5 1/2 weeks early - scary! That would be like me having our baby early next week! I can't even imagine. One week in NICU isn't too bad for being born so early - LUCKY - it could have been so much worse!
WOW! That seriously is a Walker baby through and through. She and Hunter are the spitting image of each other at birth! Amazing how that works, isn't it?

That is too crazy that Hunter looks so much like their baby! Emma was almost a month early, and was able to escape the alien look too. Congrats!
