Another fun year of baseball has come and gone. Haylee got to play tee ball this year. She couldn’t wait for it AT ALL. And then after I got roped into coaching her team I couldn’t get her to focus to save my life. “The monkey bars are just so much more fun!” Whatever. I mean, I was only miserably pregnant and coaching for her benefit. It’s not like she owed me or anything . . .
Both boys played machine pitch. It was fun having them on the same team. Tanner struggled a bit. We may have moved him up too early, but he was so sick of tee ball and wasn’t learning anything from it. He was hitting great in practice and then they tried correcting his stance and his swing some and that was the end of it. He did get a couple of hits during season games, but mostly struggled with it. Luckily, he’s so laid back that it didn’t wreck his life or anything drastic. Hunter had a great season. He’s really getting the hang of fielding and hitting. He’s a graceful player and did some great work at first base.
Regardless of anything, I LOVE watching my kids play sports. I don’t know why I get so into it, but I do. It’s so fun.
Anyway, I don’t have Haylee’s team photo. I have to get it from a friend of mine. And I also don’t have any shots of her playing because I was coaching, but everything else is here.
Poor Tanner. We found him like this a lot. I think a combo of his meds and just generally not feeling well. Poor, tough kid.
The boys ended up getting third place in the league. Those pictures are still on my phone though. Tanner was so excited that he got a trophy that he didn’t care what place it was. So cute.
