Okay, maybe that was a tad bit dramatic…..or maybe not. And I am actually enlisting some help so it’s a totally appropriate title. I especially need help from the business savvy and those of you who just know everything about everything. My brother-in-law, David graduated with a BS in Business Management with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management. He and my little sister currently live in Utah, and well, finding a business job in Utah is about as easy as finding someone around here who can’t operate a tractor (besides me, of course). So, I just need to know if anyone is aware of any available jobs in that field in the beautiful state of Washington…..or if you don’t live in Washington you can tell me anyway. He’s basically looking for a job that would deal with forecasting, procurement/buying, logistics, operations, or that sort of thing. Many of the ones he’s finding are wanting 5+ years of experience in the field, which a recent graduate obviously would not have. So, if anyone has any job info that they could pass along my way, that’d be great…..or you can email him directly if you prefer to ignore me, which is fine too. I can take it. It’s hdavid250@yahoo.com.
Anyway, for the record, this is your chance to do something nice for one of the nicest guys I know. And he’s just awesome all around…..just ask my sister. He can even control Tanner, which let’s face it, is tough to do…..granted he had to put him up in a tree to do it, but I don’t think that minor detail diminishes his skill at all. No, but seriously, great guy, great worker, great ethics. Let me know if you know of anything. Thanks!

I have a little experience in the field of business especially in the state of washington. Really most of the major companies in Washington are hiring if the right candidate comes along.
Here is a list of companies that are strong in supply chain with big offices in Seattle:
Starbucks (one of my close friends and former co-workers used to work in supply chain there and is still well connected)
Costco
Boeing (probably not as likely of a job)
Amazon (always hiring)
Oracle (definitely a lot of supply chain and a small office but no clue on their hiring practices)
Other companies that will have related but not necessarily supply chain roles worth looking at are:
Accenture
AT&T (specifically wireless)
T-Mobile
Clearwire
Expedia
He could also look at companies in Portland with strong supply chains:
Nike
Adidas
Feel free to give him my phone number if he wants to talk about any of these as I either worked for, consulted at, or know people that worked at all of these.
