Okay, another catch-up post. The week following our trip to Idaho, we went to Silverwood and spent the weekend at Hauser Lake with some friends of ours. I don’t have a ton of pictures from the trip, but enough that no one will hate reading this I hope.:)
The kids had a blast at Silverwood…and were purely exhausted by the end of the day. Tanner had to be carried to the car because the poor kid couldn’t take another step.:) Tanner’s favorite ride was the airplanes and he must have rode it 16 times. As a matter of fact, he cried when we took him away from it…and when I say cried, I mean threw a gigantic fit and was hysterical. Hunter says his favorite was the Scrambler…boy after my own heart. That was ALWAYS my favorite as a kid. Both boys also really liked the Paratrooper because it reminded them of when Daddy drives through the dips in the road really fast and it makes their tummies feel “funny.” Ha ha, so cute! Hunter wanted to jump out of the Paratrooper and into the pond that the Bumper Boats were in beneath us, but I assured him that was a terrible idea. He looked at me like I was an idiot and said, “But I took swimming lessons! I know how to blow bubbles in the water. It’s fine, Mom!” Right. Remind me to watch you closely around any water more than an inch deep.
I only went on one ride (we watched the kids mostly) and it was pretty much the worst idea I ever had. It was the Timber Terrors wooden rollercoaster. I’d been on Tremors before…no biggie I thought. However, pretty sure I almost died. No, I survived, but really I hurt my back pretty badly. I have kind of a bad back anyway since my mission, so I wasn’t moving around very well for about a week. Ah well, fun anyway. Oh yeah, and my hat blew off of my head during that beast of a ride too. I was sure that my ponytail would hold it on, but NO. Luckily, it flew right into Robin’s lap who was sitting directly behind me and she had presence of mind enough to throw it at her feet. She’s my hero…it would’ve been embarrassing to walk around with hair like that.
Kyle went on Aftershock too. I passed because it appeared to be the kind of amusement park attraction that isn’t kind to bladders that have previously fallen out of bodies. Kyle assured me it was much less traumatic than the rollercoaster, so clearly I chose poorly. Maybe next time. Oh, and actually I lied. Our whole family went on that log splash ride…whatever it’s called. Haylee seemed horrified, but didn’t make a peep. Hunter was in front and denied his fear also.:)
The rest of the time we hung out at the lake…swimming and riding around in kayaks. It was a good time.
Haylee after her rollercoaster ride was over…which now that I think of it…the whole family went on too. You should’ve seen Kyle squeezed into the little kid rollercoaster. He WASN’T giggling the whole time like Haylee.
If there’s a puddle, Tanner will find it…
Hunter watching the Scrambler before we went home.
Until I catch up with the rest…..

Looks like fun! I need to get you on Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point! It's only 420 feet tall and goes from 0 to 120mph in 4 seconds! You'll love it! Or you can try Millennium Force...it's only 320 feet tall with a top speed of 92mph.
P.S. I WISH you had a picture of Kyle in the roller coaster. That alone would've covered my cost of admission. Also loved the picture of Tanner finding a puddle. Classic!
Looks like you all had fun. I didn't see a picture of you in the kayak. Way to go Tanny. You forgot to stomp in the puddle. lol
