My New 4 Year Old

Hunter turned 4 on Friday. He's turning into quite the handsome, little man. I can hardly believe he's so old. What happened to my little baby? Okay, well maybe 9 lbs. 13 oz. is not so little, but I miss it just the same. Some things haven't changed. He still has a beautiful smile, an infectious giggle, and eyelashes that could melt any heart.
This is the requested Jeep cake. When he told me what he wanted I was slightly worried (although it was less of a worry than the previously desired hunting cake). It actually turned out really cool.....the pictures don't even do it justice. I'm not a four wheeling enthusiast or anything, but Kyle is, and now he wants the same cake for his Birthday (only double the size.....probably so he can have more toys on it). Anyway, Hunter loved it and that's what I was going for. I frosted it after he went to bed on Thursday night, so it was a nice surprise Friday morning.
Seeing his cake for the first time. He wouldn't leave it alone. Neither would Tanner. I had a couple of repair jobs to do.:) You can love is bed head if you want to.
Opening his haul. Kyle's Dad, his sister, Aricka, and her boyfriend, David, came out. We were going to have more people over, but Hunter had been pretty sick, so we decided not to. Tanner wanted to help pretty badly, but Hunter wasn't having that. Poor Tanner!
Haylee loved the paper and bows. And the presents for that matter. She still tries to get at all of them now. She always wants the boys' toys and to play with her brothers. They usually end up beating her up, poor thing, but that doesn't stop her from following them around everywhere. (Side note: I HAD combed her hair, okay?! She had pigtails in, but she pulls them out. I just don't want everyone to think that she looks like this ALL of the time. She only looks like this MOST of it.)
His jumbo dump truck from Aricka and David. The thing is huge. Now Tanner thinks he needs one too.:) It's pretty cool.

She thought it was cool at first, but quickly got tired of it......especially once Tanner tried to push her in it.
I forgot to take a picture of him with his stash that night, so I made him do it in the morning which is why everything is open. Oh well. Thanks everyone for all of the gifts. He's one lucky boy! Oh, and Mom, Green Eggs and Ham is now his absolute favorite book and I get to read it multiple times a day. I've also been committed to MAKE green eggs and ham.:)
Happy Birthday, Hunter! We love you!

The cake turned out great, I think. Looks like he had quite the b-day. Do you wonder what the heck to get him for Christmas after his haul? I wonder that, and McKay's b-day is in May! :)
