Happy Halloween
from our family to yours.....

Hunter, cousin Kennady, Haylee, and Tanner in our yard before all of the "festivities." (I personally hate Halloween and festivities makes it sound like a religious holiday or something, but I couldn't think of another word). I could let the day pass unnoticed, but my kids DO always look adorable in their costumes and they have a fun time, so I can't fairly complain.

Hunter and Dalston (he's Haylee's age). Aren't they adorable monkeys!? I think so. I'm a total costume recycler (my dislike of the holiday probably inspires my desire to spend as little money as possible on it), but since Hunter's my oldest, he always gets the new costume. I'm sure this won't fly in a few years once the kids catch on to my little "game," but right now they don't know the difference, so yay for me.
Kennady and Haylee all bundled up to go trick-or-treating in Connell. Haylee wasn't actually sleeping at all.....she's just a total blinker in photos. They're such cute cousins. I mean, Kennady steals Haylee's binky and makes her cry, Haylee smacks Kennady in the face and makes her wail......it's really a nice bond.
Pictures with Gramps after trick-or-treating. That's Kyle's Dad. And the scary looking one is Tailor. The entire time Tanner never noticed Tailor's mask. At one of the last houses, he looked up and was alarmed to put it mildly. "Tailor! That's scary! That's scary, Tailor!" Tanner wasn't a fan of anybody's masks. At the Trunk or Treat that we went to out in Basin City, there were two older boys with these wolf masks. Any time Tanner caught a glimpse of them, the kid hit the deck. One time he almost threw himself under the Durango to save himself. Poor little guy! Then at one house in Connell, this kid at the door was wearing a scary mask. And I quote, "I hate that house! I hate that face! I don't want him talking to me!" "Was his mask scary, Tanner?" "YES! I don't want him talking to me ANY MORE!" SO FUNNY! He was just so cute. Some of you may also remember my story from last year where the kid scared Hunter to death. Well.....Hunter totally remembered which house it was (yes, my three year old's memory serves us about as well as photo documentation) and refused to go to it. Sometimes I'm shocked at the level of intelligence that my almost 4 year old possesses. He amazes me every day. Haylee didn't seem to care about any of these events. She just kept looking at her brothers weird because they were dressed like wild animals. Good times all around!

Have we already talked about how I hate Halloween too. And to top it off, I had a child on the day! What the heck? We were going to do "Halloween theme" parties but I'm just hoping that the birthday will overshadow Halloween from here on out and the kids will forget all about Halloween. I can dream, right?
And, why is ok for women to use the holiday as an excuse to dress sleezy? Even the Mormon women who should know better. They wear leggings under their mini skirt batman dress and it makes it modest? Am I judgemental?
Dave hates it too. We are all wise beyond our years.
For the love of Pete, ban this holiday!
I keep going on and on but I do have to say something positive. I think it's cute when kids dress up and pretend. It should stop at age 10.
Shouldn't have got me started. Ha ha!
Oh Breezy they are so cute. It was great thea Joey, Sarah and Kennedy got to be there for Halloween. Looks like the cousins are pretty well bonded now. I felt bad I only had 20 this year and 4 were from next door and 4 were Trish's family. Maya and Alexz were so cute with their died hair. Larry was dracula and Trish had a bite on her neck.
LOL!! I love Tanner so Much!! I don't want him talking to me anymore! Haha. classic.
Your kids just make me smile. :)! Be seeing you guys in a couple weeks!
You continally amaze me with your adorable kids in cute poses (sitting on the leaves, on top of the hay, etc.) and now in darling costumes, too!! Teach me your ways!
