In August we had another family reunion. This one in Idaho with my family. We went to a cabin kind of near Rexburg right on the Snake River. What a blast! And all of my siblings were able to come at some point. Spencer and Kim were the only ones we weren’t there with because she had to start training for her new teaching job, but we did meet them for our lunch as we crossed paths, them on their way home, us on our way there. Anyway, there are so many little cousins that it’s an absolute riot. My Hunter is the oldest of the current 12 grandchildren, so it gets a little fussy . . . and insane. Not that we mind. Looking forward to getting everyone together like this again!
Happiest and best parents around, hands down. You can argue with me about it if you want, but you won’t win.
The view from the back porch. Oh sigh. I think I’m supposed to live there permanently.
We got to go rafting on the river several times. That was so much fun! On one trip we even rowed right by a moose that was eating on the edge of a little island . . . twenty feet away at most. My boys that was the neatest thing. And we couldn’t keep Tanner off that boat. He loved it. We even had fun jumping in and swimming on the long stretches.
Vicious game of horseshoes.
And there’s the whole, hysterical bunch. I don’t think anyone’s permanently scarred from the photo experience. Back: Hunter-7 w/Kate-6 months, Tanner-6, Kennady-5, Coby-3, Evan-4, Haylee-4. Front: Avery-1, Anna-2, Maddox-1, Hampton-10 months, Greyson-2.
