Well, so we needed a new family photo. Kyle is still insistent that we don’t need a photographer and we can just use the timer. I bought a remote switch and we attempted that this time. It was a disaster. This one is the only decent one and it’s not even good. You can see the remote in my hand and I’m kneeling and smiling all awkward. Avery’s not smiling, but at least she’s looking. Kyle’s losing this fight this year. Someone else will be taking our family photos. It just has to be done. Sorry, dear.
Since I had the kids all dolled up, I took their yearly photos all at once instead of doing it on their Birthdays. Haylee was four in February, Avery one in March, Tanner would be turning 6 a few days after this (and in Kindergarten) and Hunter is 7 (towards the end of first grade). I think I’ll just do them every spring. Or maybe I should switch to fall. Who knows. These ones aren’t even on my wall yet if that tells you anything about me. Although the year long blogging hiatus should’ve told you plenty.
And yes, I know Avery looks pale, but she was having terrible iron deficiency problems that we didn’t know about then, so she spent a lot of time with kind of poor coloring. She’s perked up now, okay!?
Anyway, I don’t mean to state the obvious, but I have some good looking children. And they’re amazing and kind and talented to boot. Don’t be mad. Someone had to house these awesome souls.
