Since my wild, little princess is almost two now, I should probably blog about her first Birthday. I’m a firm believer that if you pass the year mark your blogging days are over. I can’t prove it, but it’s a feeling I get. Anyway, Avery looked so much younger than Haylee did on her first Birthday which was kind of nice. She wasn’t walking yet and still looked a bit like a baby. It’s nice to hold onto it for a little while. I went totally simple on her Birthday…and I only felt guilty for a little while. Cupcakes, a swing, and a ball. She wasn’t complaining and so I happily let that guilt go. I didn’t have to stress over a cake and it was really nice. Like REALLY nice.
I probably should have just bought her a cord that could be chewed.
Because Grandma and Grandpa came for Grandparents Day they were also here for Avery’s Birthday which was so fun. That doesn’t always happen so we had happy kids again.
This is the way that rednecks try out swings. And do you think we’ve hung it outside yet . . . almost a year later . . . no, of course we haven’t.
We sure love you, crazy girl. You’ve made life exciting at our house.
