Avery ~ 2 months

Ummm, so yeah, she’s growing up way too fast. I hate that. But I love chubby babies, so I guess it’s a total trade off.:)

Height: 23” (70th percentile)

Weight: 11 lbs. 8 oz. (75th percentile)

She moved up from like the 35th percentile in both categories, so I was impressed. She seriously has the chubbiest cheeks and has gotten really long, so Tanner will probably be our only short kid. Sorry Tanner.

She had to get her first round of vaccines. I felt more terrible about hers than all of my other kids. Tanner didn’t even ever cry until he was like a year old . . . about anything . . . he’d just grunt when they gave him shots. Hunter and Haylee wailed, but they were those, “How dare you!” kind of screams. Avery’s was so pathetically sad that I almost cried. A shocked look on her face followed by the saddest whimper and cries that I’ve ever heard out of her. She has a quieter cry than my other kids anyway, which probably made it even worse. She just seemed so sensitive and helpless and cuddly that it broke my heart. Plus, she was miserable the entire day. She just wanted to snuggle, but would cry if you accidentally touched her chubby thighs. She’d cry when she nursed because she had to lay on one of her thighs. It was just sad. Take my word for it. Poor baby! She’s back to her usual self now though, thank goodness!
