I was going to dump all of December into one post like I’ve done with the past several months until I realized the insanity of that idea. Way too much stuff. So, I’m splitting it up. Getting a Christmas tree:
Hunter nearly had a coronary when the guy came over to cut it with the chainsaw. Apparently there’s nothing better than a chainsaw.:) And yes, over here they cut the tree down for you . . . this IS the west side, you know. Time to meet Santa:
Everything was fine . . . until he spoke to her.:) Hunter fully explained the MacGyver pocketknife he needed. Tanner told him all about the racetrack that’s bigger than his Dad. Haylee was all excited, then he talked. She nearly fell off the stage trying to back away from him. Poor thing . . . but funny.:)
And let’s not forget frosting sugar cookies. For the record, the children did not touch any cookies that didn’t belong specifically to them. This saved anyone who received them from ingesting their spit.
And we made paper ornaments. I might be a dork, but I love homemade ornaments on a tree. They represent all that is good about Christmas. I printed out some of the kids’ photos and cut out some paper ornaments and had them decorate away. It was really fun . . . and messy, of course.:)
Aren’t they cuties?:) Okay, more Christmas coming soon!
