We've also put in a fire pit. It's not all the way done and I don't have pictures of that. The backyard is huge. We put in a sandbox for the boys and will surround that with river rock too after we put in a swing set of some sort. Kyle's going to till up the huge garden area with the tractor so I can plant my monstrous garden. Turns out we have a pear tree and two apple trees too. I'm here at my Mom's and she's going to teach me to can my pears that I picked (due to the fact that I resisted developing any domestic talents until I became a Mom and realized that maybe it WAS a good idea after all......). We'll probably have the apple trees removed. They seem pretty sickly and it turns out that the county will pay you to take them out due to bug problems. Anyway, we're not all the way moved in because Kyle's going to build quite a bit of shelving in our garage and dining room, but we're getting there. Love the space though!! And so do the kids, of course!! Kyle loves living in the middle of nowhere.....and having access to all of the hatchery equipment to "work on things" to his heart's content.....and being able to hunt just down the road.....and I'm pretty sure he finds it slightly funny that we can't connect to the internet yet, even though it's annoying. Anyway, but all is well.:)

Our Hatchery House
So, this is where we live now. It's a 3 bedroom rambler style house with a two car garage. We're loving the space. It's probably double the size of where we used to live. Anyway, since we live on the hatchery now, Kyle stays pretty busy (even when he's "off," but we expected that, so...... At least we have a ton of room and the boys have all kinds of space to run and play. Next year I'll have a huge garden too.
Ignore all the vehicles.....I didn't want to move them. Oh, and no, we do NOT have another dog. We were babysitting.....that's Jake and Hannah's dog, Kobe, behind Sugar.
The side yard. I love the swing in the tree. Kyle also fixed the inground sprinkler system (he's pretty darn handy) and so we've gotten the grass pretty green. It was dead when we moved in. Should've taken before and after pictures so somebody would be impressed.:)
This is the side going around to the back. So, I have a weeping willow tree. I'm pretty excited about that. Don't know why, I just love those trees.
This is the back of the house. We have an enclosed back porch (which is now a play room). We're going to replace all of the red, lava rock with river rock.

Awesome! Nice Bigger acres for kids to play :) we should come visit sometimes :)
It looks like a nice area. Great for kids as long as they can't get near the Columbia. I like the tree swing too. We had one of those. Hooray for the big garden. Looks like you will be learning to do a lot of canning. I froze vegies and berries too.You are learning to be a country wife quickly. It seems to fit you. I loved it. I always had a big garden since I was a kid and had a victory garden.
I'm glad you're updating your blog! It looks like an adventure being in the middle of nowhere, like BC wasn't! hehe! Where is the house actually at? Just curious. Looks like you will really enjoy life, and you'll be as busy as ever. The kids are darling, like always, too! :) I can't believe how big your baby's getting!!!
Oh my gosh it's Kyle's dream yard a million miles from any civilization! Now he can do a 360 and shoot in any direction and not hit anyone. If you can't do that, said he, "you live too close" to other people. Looks great. Once you have a two-story log cabin with a green metal roof, Kyle's dream will be complete! Wait, I almost forgot the complete camo-themed bedroom. How could I forget THAT?!?
Seriously, looks wonderful!! Glad you have some more room and a nice big yard!!!
Wow, it's so nice! I'd almost move to the middle of no where to have a yard as serene as that! Sounds like you've got some good plans to keep you busy next year! :)
