Family Camping Adventures

So, we went camping for the first time since we've had kids. It was an.....adventure. We went to Bumping Lake, which is on Chinook Pass on the way up to Mount Rainier. Gorgeous area! Camping with three little kids, including a nursing baby, is a little bit difficult, to put it mildly. But, it was fun anyway. The kids had a blast and we even got to hike a bit, which I love. I'll just tell the story in pictures.
Walking down by the lake. Believe it or not, my three year old took this picture. I'm not even kidding. Go Hunter!!
Hunter and Tanner on a log. We could barely get them to sit still for a picture.
My Tanner throwing rocks in the water. He could seriously do this all day.....and would if we didn't force him to move on.
Sugar actually fetches rocks out of the lake. It's impressive.....for a dog.
Hunter learned to walk Sugar. She's bigger than him, but he learned to handle her. You should hear him yelling at her.....so funny! But, he totally got the hang of it.
We ventured in. The water was actually nice, but the wind picked up once we got there and we didn't make it far.
My handsome, grown up boy. What a looker.
And this good looking little man has the most mischievous face I've ever seen.....and rightfully so. Throwing rocks once again.
Haylee watching all the action with her beautiful, wind blown look. Yep, she's got my hair. It's official, poor thing.
Sleeping Beauty by the campfire.
Ready to roast marshmallows. What a ham.
Always helping with the campfire.....so helpful......and dirty.
The three musketeers. Oh what fun I have on a regular basis.
The family.....taken on a timer with everyone looking, including the dog! How did that happen!? Okay, well, Haylee's not exactly looking, but she's facing the right way. This is on our hike up to Boulder Cave. We're about to enter the cave here. Hunter and I were practically on the verge of hysterics, but we managed.
Proof that I was in a cave. Yes, be impressed.....the scaredy cat was brave.
Daddy and the boys.
Excited Haylee at the waterfall we hiked to after the getting through the cave. I can't believe I even survived that little trek without falling over. I guess I do have some skills.
Kyle underneath the waterfall.
Part of the log and boulder trail I hiked through wearing that baby backpack. I was sure I'd fall and kill us both, but we made it and Haylee didn't know the difference.:)
Buds.....for five minutes. I love my little goofballs.

Sounds like you had a really cool time. We've got pictures of Grandpa taking the family camping.
Poor Haylee ending up with your and my hair. Maybe it will get better we can only hope. You're family remind me of my two boys and Annette.

That looks like so much fun!! The views of the lake were pretty cool. Looks like the water level is pretty low to be able to see all the old stumps. Hope it's not because of a bad drought!

I really dig the pic of Hunter walking Sugar. He's getting way too old, way too fast.

Even though I've seen it before, the pic of Tanner throwing rocks cracks me up. Really, I just have to look at that kid and I lose it.

Love those crazy kids.
