Okay, I’m making a last ditch effort to update to this point. I'll be delivering baby #4 any time now and I figured that being caught up before then just might be a good idea . . . or it would never happen (obviously). Things have been wild, but I don’t have a lot of photos. I’ve been experiencing pre-term labor for at least 6 weeks now and am on full bed rest, so . . . the camera has been in its bag quite a bit. I am now 35 weeks and have had steroid shots, so I’m feeling a lot better about this little girl coming early. Plus, she’s huge (shocker, I know) and that makes me feel better too. I’m completely off of the medicine to stop my contractions because it was lowering my blood pressure too much (even though it wasn’t supposed to). So, I’m contracting all day, every day, and just kind of waiting for full on labor to kick in. Be prepared for an announcement.:)
Anyway, I can’t say we’re all having too much fun since I’m down. Just normal day-to-day stuff. My sister, Wendy, came and stayed with her two kids to help me out for a week and then my Mom took over. I just lay on the couch all day and someone else takes care of business. It’s weird for me and I can honestly say I hate it. I never thought I’d miss things like standing up, doing dishes, and chasing my maniac children around . . . but I do. I more than appreciate the help, but still wish I could do it.
Hunter is still loving Kindergarten and amazes me every day. That kid has quite the brain between his ears. He’s reading like crazy, doing math, telling time . . . you know, the usual. But it amazes me how quickly he learns. He read Green Eggs and Ham to my Mom and I the other day and it was unbelievable. I’m pretty sure they didn’t teach us to read when I was in Kindergarten. Tee ball is starting Monday and he’s thrilled about that too. Hopefully I’m up soon and can watch my little guy play. Tanner and Haylee are both running crazy, which is pretty normal. They both miss Hunter when he’s gone and Tanner can’t wait to start Kindergarten next year and go to school with his big brother. Then it will be just us girls at home. Weird and sad, but we’ll have fun (if we can prevent Haylee from mauling the baby). Kyle is busy as ever with work. We’re actually all excited for spring/summer time so we can have some fun. Kyle has A LOT of vacation he has to take this year and we fully intend to enjoy it.:)
Another dose of winter snow. We rarely get snow at the hatchery . . . even when they have it all around us . . . so the kids were thrilled for some more.
We went to some Sportsmen’s show in the Tri-Cities. Kyle and the kids loved it. I tolerated it because they sold cotton candy. Don’t judge . . . I’m pregnant.
My baby turned 3 on February 17th! I can hardly believe it. Time flies by so fast. I don’t know her stats since I’m on bed rest and she hasn’t been to her well-child check, but she’s big. She wears 4T shirts and dresses already and they’re almost too short. She’s getting really good at keeping up with her brothers. She’s pretty athletic and enjoys riding her big girl bike and jumping on the trampoline the most. Anything Hunter and Tanner do, she wants to do . . . and usually does. She’s dramatic and high energy, which is a lethal combination for a Mother, but she’s a gorgeous, sweet, funny girl too and so most days I’m amused by the craziness that we call Haylee. She was SO EXCITED for her Birthday this year, which is actually a first. Normally she just wants a balloon and cupcakes and we’re good. This year she was wound up all day. It was really cute. And after her request for a baggy of pretzels, race car, snowman, MacGyver knife cake, she was completely thrilled with the “flower” cupcakes she got instead. And she ate four.:)
Yeah, she did ask for a remote control rock crawler. Are you really all that surprised?:)
And a fully-equipped big girl bed. She was in HEAVEN! And she’s ready for a little sister to move into her room. At least she thinks she is.:)
Here I am at 33 weeks:
Dr. Seuss’s Birthday celebration at Hunter’s school. He was so cute . . . even though he hates it when I tell him that.:)
