My Baby Turned 5!

Hunter turned 5 at the end of November. When did time start passing so quickly? It goes by so fast and sometimes I think I’m failing miserably as a parent and am going to run out of time. I hope that’s not true.

Hunter is probably my most angelic child. He’s just pretty mild-tempered and soft-hearted. Granted, he’s all boy, so I still receive my fair share of grief, but he’s inherently good. He takes care of his little sister, always compliments everyone, and loves to have hugs. He’s already quite good at saying his own prayers and says wonderful things about whatever is happening at the time. He’s thoughtful and kind.

What does he love? Camo, hunting, Jeeps, Samurais, Toyota pickups, tractors, Lincoln Logs, tools, building anything (I have to hide the hammers), riding his bike, and playing in the dirt and the snow. He still thinks he works at the hatchery and is always on stand-by, requiring me to carefully plan any errands or shopping trips.:) He’s getting excited to start school next year and I’m excited for him (although a bit sad too) because he really is sharp as a tack and school will be a wonderful experience for him. He loves “Crimary.” Still can’t get him to call it Primary.:) He loves writing his own talks and taking his scriptures to class.

This boy stole my heart the second I had him and he continues to do so. I can’t imagine life without my sweet boy. I love you, Hunter! Slow down on the growing up, would  ya!? Okay, on to the Birthday pics. Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Katie ventured over for his Birthday this year and he was SO EXCITED! He had a great little family party. He had a construction cake this year:

He has pretty good name and I assure you that it’s being kept where NONE of my children can reach it until Daddy’s available for shooting time. I can’t say that I’d be THIS excited about insulated camo overalls, but to each his own:
