Saturday we headed up to Godman in the Blue Mountains for our first camping trip this summer. I went to Girl’s Camp the week prior, but this was the first outing for the family. I swore on Monday when we headed home that this trip was our last. Haylee’s arm is broken and they didn’t cast it…..she kept tripping over sticks and falling on it…..or refusing to catch herself and therefore falling on her face instead for fear of hurting her wrist. Poor thing. Plus, she was still in a lot of pain (she broke it on Friday), so she threw up twice on the way there (all over the pillows and blankets that were at her feet. That was enough to send me home, but if anyone has met my die-hard husband, you’ll know that we stayed. Then, 4 of us (everyone but Hunter) caught some horrid head cold and were miserable. This, of course, didn’t deter Kyle either however, and we continued to stick it out. Hunter and Tanner both seem to have some sort of obsession with fire, which we were certain would result in a forest fire, but the forest is still standing and so are we…..barely. Anyway, all of that aside, we do love camping and the boys were in heaven, so I suppose we’ll go again. Here’s a couple of photos from our adventure. Any of these with me in them were taken by Hunter with our little point-and-shoot camera (I didn’t take my nice one up there…..which was a very good decision, I think, considering how dirty we all were). Is he a photographer in the making or what? Makes his Mama so proud.:)
And the boys picked me a bunch of wildflowers…..and then burned them, just like everything else they got their hands on. Nice thought though.:)

I would've never asked about the knife - it's just assumed that Kyle has one at all times =] Despite all of your woes, it seems like you guys had a good time.
Why would I ask about Kyle having a knife strapped to his leg? The appropriate question would be "where's Kyle's knife?" since we ALL KNOW he'd have one somewhere in the vicinity of the picture. HAHAHAHAHAHA

The knife didn't bother me as i've seen them before. The pictures make me nostalgic. I remember all those fun times. And Hunter and Tanner with the obsession for the fire must have come from their Uncles Walt and George. They did the same thing. lol
