That's a line from one of Hunter's favorite books about Peter Cottontail hiding eggs for all of the farm animals. And since he makes me read it, oh, about 13 times each day (all year round), it seemed like an appropriate title.
We spent Easter over in Chehalis with my family (well, the part that's still in Chehalis.....the numbers are dwindling). We enjoyed spending time with them. It was Tanner's first and all we discovered was that he likes to eat plastic eggs, not put them in his basket. And his entire interest is in stealing Hunter's toys instead of playing with his own.....I think he enjoys the reaction he gets of sending Hunter to a point of near hysteria. Oh, and side note, he has moved past the roll, and though I can't say that what he does is actually crawling, it's a very adorable improvement. At first he looked like an inch worm and now it looks more like he's doing the breast stroke on dry land. We're proud that he's moving on.:)
Hunter enjoys doing anything that makes a mess, so dying eggs was a real highlight for him. And of course, he has to be independent and do everything himself, so that left several broken, or should I say crushed, eggs as he launched or dropped them into the dye. He didn't seem to mind that they were broken and completely deformed, nor did he mind that he splashed one of my favorite sweatshirts (which P.S. is white ) with red dye. I know, I know, what kind of Mother wears a white sweatshirt while helping her two year old dye Easter eggs? Whatever. Anyway, he also got a real kick out of the hunt this year.....he's at a good age. AND, I've never seen him go to sleep so fast. I guess the threat that the Easter Bunny wouldn't come if he didn't close his eyes instantly was really effective. I know, I'm a bad person.
Anyway, we had a wonderful time watching our boys enjoy the holiday. They get cuter by the day.....not that we're partial or anything. And it was wonderful to see my Mom & Dad, Grandmas, and a few of my siblings and attend church with them. Easter is a wonderful time of year. And we're looking forward to seeing everyone again in mid-April (well, except Kim, our wonderful missionary in Switzerland) for Wendy & David's wedding. It'll be nice to have everyone together for that. We hope all is well with each of you.

Ah, you guys have green grass! I guess that shouldn't be the first thing I noticed in your pictures, but sadly, it was! :)
Sounds like a great weekend! Wish we could have been there to join in on the fun! My niece, Sarah, used to (actually, still does) do stuff like that to her older sister Julia ALL the time. It's so funny to see their personalities at such young ages!
Awe, so cute :) They are growing up sooo fast!
Glad that you were here so I could watch.
